Through purchasing Ridge Racer Type 4 for my Playstation I was lead topick up a copy of the soundtrack, as it was one of the best, well in myopinion "the" best soundtrack for a racing game of all time. Many of itstracks were based upon the drum and bass style music. In which I'm not atrue fan of but it just captivated me. Tracks such as Quiet Curves, YourVibe, Move Me and Silhouette Dance, made me want to buy the soundtrack assoon as I heard it. I then heard that Ridge Racer 5 was coming out and so Imade it out of my way to play it. I absolutely loved the game but I didn'thear too much of the music, I was lead to think that Namco would do itagain and bring out another outstanding soundtrack. When I finally got myhand on the soundtrack I was very disappointed. Not only it consisted of 20tracks and not 25 like type 4 but Namco had gone back to their old classicRidge Racer techno tracks now I'm not one to insult Techno music but I wasexpecting somewhere of the lines of Ridge Racer Type 4 quality. Althoughtrack 15 and 7 really got to my interest and made me not so disappointedthat I bought the album. I would recommend the album to fans of the first 2Ridge Racer titles and not so much to fans of the Ridge Racer Type 4 title.
