(More customer reviews)This is a fantastic stand.If you have limited space and either want a serious racing rig that you can easily put away, or if you don't have room for a full cockpit and racing seat, this is a great solution.
I have a Logitech G25 Racing Wheel retrofitted with a Momo TRK35BK0R Trek Red 350 mm Leather Steering Wheel set up on it and have been using it with Dirt 2, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and Need for Speed: Shift on PS3, along with other serious racing sims on PC.The stand is rock solid.It never feels like it's tilting as you get with lesser light weight stands and cheap tables.Even with the full size racing wheel, this thing takes all the intense gameplay and just stays put.It's heavy, but that adds to its stability.
You can pull it right up to your couch, or use any chair with it, so it's infinitely flexible for your setup.You can even set it up for standing gameplay.It's just as easy to mount an arcade joystick to the top instead of a wheel for that arcade cabinet feel, or flight sim controls.
For storage, the wheel folds over the arms and the arms fold flat against the base.Your wheel and pedals stay mounted and you can easily just move the whole compact unit into a closet or some other out of the way place.Since everything stays mounted, set up takes less than 30 seconds!Great design.
It looks like metal, but it isn't.It's MDF (medium density fiberboard) but it's got a super tough texture coating (like rhino lining) that will hold up easily to intense use.Lots of assembly is required, but it's no more complicated than a desk from ikea, and the assembly design and tool quality is the best I've ever seen in a ready to assemble piece.
My only real complaint is the price.It's expensive, no doubt, but there's nothing that compares to its advantages.Is it worth it?Yes.I wouldn't say it's a bargain value, but I would buy it again with no hesitation.
