(More customer reviews)I have owned 2 sets of these headphones, along with various other brands including a pair with noise reduction, and I must say that these are the best headphones I've ever used. I'm sure better headphones exists, but for the price (not necessarily the price on amazon) these headphones can't be beat.
Since they cover the entire ear, light sounds will be cut off without much music volume at all. louder ambient sound will require only a little bit more music volume to negate. The headphones are also quite comfortable to wear, so you can put them on and work away. My first set of headphones wore out in about 3 years (a "friend" wore them for hours and hours for weeks at a time and by the end while they were still usable, I just couldn't wear them anymore, so I bought a new set).
The worst problem is probably the cord, as it's not very flexible (but it is very strudy). I haven't really had any other issues and I expect this set to last for another 5 years or longer.
Would highly recommend. (typical use for me: music via my laptop. Has worked well in a Zune, an iphone, and a DS.)
